The Secret Is In The Order Of Exercises!

To truly maximize your training sessions, you have to understand that the Order of exercise is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT!

 

This is why having a plan when you go into a training session is so valuable.

 

Training should be laid out in a way that makes it easy to follow and in the correct sequence for you to get the most out of your sessions.

 

There will be times in the gym that you’ll have to share equipment and you may have to change the order in which you do things for that reason 

(gotta do what ya gotta do).

 

But in a perfect world…here’s a few rules to live by

 

Activation exercises should be prioritized at the start of your session.

 

Technique drills should be done immediately following your warmup when your nervous system is the freshest.

 

Mobility work should be done prior to full range of motion strength training (or used in conjunction with full range of motion strength training as a superset).

 

Explosive movements should be towards the beginning of your session OR in superset fashion with your strength work (contrast training).

 

Major movements should be done before accessory exercises.
